IN LOVING MEMORY

Laura (Laurie) Ann Janning Dindak

Jun 19 1960 - Oct 12 2026

Laura (Laurie) Ann Janning Dindak, 66, of Allen, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep on October 12, 2026. She leaves behind a loving family, a legacy of faith, and a life marked by service to others.

Laurie was born on June 19, 1960, in Strongsville, Ohio to Fred and Eloise (Terri) Janning. The oldest of six children, she grew up in a close-knit family where she excelled at everything she did- from academics to flaming baton twirling.

On August 16, 1980, Laurie married Andrew Phillip (Phil) Dindak. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, Christian ministry and service to others. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin their life together and attended Victory Bible Institute. Their calling in ministry continued when they helped found Family Life Christian Center in Jackson, Mississippi. They spent ten years faithfully working and serving the church. Their journey took them to Lafayette, Louisiana then to Allen, Texas in 1997.

In Allen, Laurie devoted many years to education through the Allen Independent School District working as a substitute teacher and a PEIMS clerk, retiring in 2024. Laurie and Phil faithfully attended and served at Church Eleven32 in Allen, Texas. Laurie served in many capacities throughout the church. One of her favorites was leading small groups with Phil where she was able to foster community, share biblical wisdom and encouragement. Her ministry was not limited to a church building; it was lived out in the relationships she nurtured and the wisdom she imparted in every interaction.

Laurie's greatest joy was being with her family. Whether it was spending time with her husband and “four miracle babies” David, Rebekah, John and Anna and their wonderful spouses or with her siblings, nothing brought a bigger smile to her face. She proudly wore the title of Gramma to Adam and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby boy Ross. Everyone was treated like family when they walked through Laurie's door.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Phil; her children, David (Maya) Dindak and their son, Adam, of Richardson, Texas; Rebekah (Chris) Ross, of Divide, Colorado; John (Cheyenne) Dindak of Richardson, Texas; Anna (Riley) McKnight, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her siblings, Fred (Laura) Janning, of Pendergrass, Georgia; Steven (Theressa) Janning, of Princeton, West Virginia; William (Joni) Janning, of Allen, Texas; Terese (Joe) Muguira, of Rockport, Texas; Julie (Matt) Leece, of Fort Worth, Texas. She also had a plethora of nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Terri Janning; her grandparents, Al and Evelyn Becka and Margaret Janning.

Laura's life was a testament to her faith, her love for family, and her willingness to serve others. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the knowledge that her legacy will continue through the lives she touched.

“Well done, good and faithful servant!” — Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

Her celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Church Eleven32, 700 Rivercrest Blvd, Allen, Texas.
