Larry Edward Grissom

Larry Edward Grissom of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed away on November 24, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on February 26, 1947 to William Edward and Mildred (Holiman) Grissom in Dallas, Texas.  Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He spent his career in telecommunications retiring with Southwestern Bell.

He is survived by his children, David Grissom and wife, Cindy of Mesquite, Texas, Patrick Grissom and wife, Dianna of Rockwall, Texas, Tammi Branch and husband, Richard of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Tracie Stanfield of New York, New York, Thomas Stanfield of Warren, Arkansas; grandchildren, Shannon Cox, Tabitha Aldridge, Brandon Grissom, Courtney Nelson, Elijah Nelson, Kody Grissom, Kyle Grissom, Ricky Branch, Ryan Branch, Thomas Stanfield, Jessica Stanfield, and Michael Stanfield; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Eddie Lilly; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Grissom; brother, Glen Grissom; wife, Nancy Grissom; and grandson, Eric Branch.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
