Larry Wayne Schone was born July 14, 1946 at St. Charles, Missouri to Orville Sylvester Schone and Margaret Freida Monroe Schone. He passed away at his home in Whitewright with his family on November 24, 2020 at the age of 74.
After high school he served his nation in the U.S. Army where he served in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his service went to college receiving his bachelors degree. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Dianne Jennings on June 3, 1967 in St. Charles, Missouri. He retired after 20 years as a Sales Executive from Nortel Networks in Richardson.
Larry was a man of great faith and actively served as a Deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Whitewright and later at First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Schone of Whitewright; daughter, Shannon Pierce and husband Ted of Van Alstyne and their children, Rachel and Andrew; sister, Maurtan Brock of St. Charles, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Orville Dean Schone.
