Larry Kelso, a resident of Prosper, Texas, departed this earth on May 8, 2024, at the age of 51. He entered this world on December 15, 1972, in Lawton, Oklahoma, born to Larry Eugene Kelso and Linda Dimples (Miller) Kelso. Larry embarked on a journey of love and companionship when he exchanged vows with Nadia Rodriguez on November 23, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In service to his country, Larry proudly wore the uniform of the United States Army, exemplifying bravery and dedication. Later, he continued his commitment to public service as a diligent police officer, safeguarding his community with valor and honor.
Larry's spiritual journey led him to become a devoted member of Gateway Church in Frisco, Texas. His faith was a guiding light and comfort.
Larry will be remembered for his unwavering sense of duty, his compassionate spirit, and his steadfast devotion to his loved ones. His legacy of service and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nadia Kelso of Prosper, Texas; daughters, Krislynn Paisley and husband, Michael of Zearing, Iowa and Nadia Rodriguez of Prosper, Texas; sons, Rey Rodriguez and Anthony Rodriguez, also of Prosper, Texas; grandchild, Evelynn Mercy Paisley; mother, Linda Brown of Lawton, Oklahoma; father, Larry E. Kelso of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Ivory Kelso of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
