Funeral Services for Larry Don Creech, 71 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday April 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Leonard. Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation and viewing is scheduled for Monday April 2, 2018 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Larry was born September 1, 1946 at Leonard. His parents were Archie B. and Theda Fay Flanagan Creech. He was a graduate of Leonard ISD and also had earned an associate degree in Law Enforcement. He served his country during the Viet Nam Era as a member of the United States Air Force from which he received an Honorable Discharge. He worked in law enforcement for 31 years before retiring from the Leonard Police Department in 2010 and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard and the Texas Law Enforcement Association. Larry had a good sense of humor and loved to play tricks and pranks. Larry loved Leonard with all his heart. He also loved bowling, horses and any kind of outdoor activity such as camping and fishing. Larry was a kind and gentle soul. He never complained about his health issues or blamed anyone. He just kept on fighting bravely until the end. Larry passed away Thursday March 29, 2018 at the Kindred Hospital of Fort Worth.

Larry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Denise Creech Koinm of Weatherford; his granddaughter: Jessika Freeman of Weatherford; his brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Rebecca Creech of Sherman; his sister and brother-in-law: Becky and John Diani of West Point, Utah; his brother and sister-in-law: Jack and Nan Creech of Whitewright and his brother: Dwight Creech of Sherman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dean Creech, a son, Larry James Creech, and a daughter, April Dawn Creech.
