Larry Dee Brooks

Larry Dee Brooks was born to C. Dale Brooks and Evelyn Louise Mathis Brooks on December 11, 1944 at Alliance, Ohio. He married Jo Gayle Peacock on August 23, 1969 at Dallas, Texas. He passed away on August 1, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 73.

After graduating High School, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served his nation receiving 3 Purple Hearts during the Vietnam War. Larry was a retired salesman with Fasteners Inc. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ.

Larry loved his family and his family dearly loved him. He was proud and honored to be called PawPaw. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Gayle Brooks of Bells; daughters, Shandra Lynne Converse and husband Clint of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Kimberly Dale Hardy and husband Wyatt of Littleton, Colorado, and Raye Dawn Reitmair of Thornton, Colorado; grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Bryson, Bryner, Dailey, Aubrey, Cambrey, Keeley, Kaden, and Maegan; brothers, Lynn Dale Brooks of Edmond, Oklahoma, Layne Darrell Brooks of Wylie, and Lanny Don Brooks of Edmond, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be held 2PM Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Brother Gary Adams will officiate. His cremains will be inurned at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at a later date.
