Larry Clark White, 72, of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully with his friends and family by his side on November 13, 2023. He was born on February 19, 1951 in Hope, Arkansas to Edgar Clark “Bud” White and Betty Ruth White. He was a lifetime employee of Southwestern Bell and AT&T from 1975 until he retired in 2011.
Larry was a 1969 graduate of Hope High School, and a graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a BSA in Business Management. He had a lifelong zest for learning and to be challenged intellectually, often completing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzles.
He loved golf, classic cars, his red Corvette, and rock and roll. Larry loved to travel the world with his wife and friends, spend time with his daughters and granddaughters, and watch the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas Rangers. He was ecstatic to finally see the Texas Rangers win a World Series.
Larry was an officer and member of the McKinney Noon Lions Club, devoting his time to helping families in need in the community and the Lions Camp in Kerrville for children with disabilities by raising money through working the McKinney Oktoberfest dog races and the annual McKinney Lions classic car show.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jackie White, of McKinney, Texas; two daughters, Stephanie Dawn Clouston and her husband David, of Dallas, Texas, and Whitney Lauren White, of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, Harper Clouston, of Dallas, Texas, and Larkin Clouston, of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Eddie White, of Hope, Arkansas; his niece, Robyn White, of Cleveland, Ohio, and nephew, Jeff White, of Stanardsville, VA; and his mother-in-law, Mary Sharrah, of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family appreciates the doctors, nurses and staff who took care of our loved one in his time of need at Medical City McKinney ICU.
