Kristi Thompson-Wigington, age 45, of Murphy, Texas passed away on April 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kristi was born on March 23, 1977, to Darrell and Linda Thompson in Duncanville, Texas. After Kristi graduated from Midlothian High School as the Valedictorian in 1995, she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She went on to get her master’s in applied mathematics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her passion for work was in product engineering combined with advanced mathematics. Recently, she worked at General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies as a Business Manager where she was passionate about programming satellites. In 2001, she married Clint Wigington and has been a faithful partner for over 20 years. They have two daughters, Rachel and Emily Wigington.  Kristi was a devoted mother, dedicated employee, loving wife, thoughtful daughter, and had a generous spirit with her family and friends. She spent her spare time planning vacation trips with her daughters to the most magical place on earth, Disney. 

Kristi is survived by her husband of 21 years and two daughters; her parents, Darrell and Linda Thompson of Waxahachie, Texas; her oldest sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Kevin Land of Boerne, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and John West of Frisco, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was blessed to have her uncle, Roger Bean, and her aunt, Cynthia Pyeatt, as integral parts of her life.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas. The service will be livestreamed at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/kristi-thompson-wigington.  After the service, the recorded livestream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  A private family interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
