Kristi Sue Davis, 71, of McKinney, TX, went to be with her Lord, and peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
Kris was born in St. Louis, Missouri, August 7, 1949, to Herbert and W. Jeannine Morgan and was an only child. While living in North St. Louis County, she attended Riverview High School and Florissant Valley Community College, and married Kirk Davis August 9, 1969.
After moving to Texas in 1981, and upon achieving her Certification, she was employed at Clute ISD of Brazoria County in Clute, TX, as an ASL Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Helping people, raising her Family, and Interpreting for impaired children were her favorite passions in life. She was fulfilled and absolutely joyous at helping the profoundly deaf and partially deaf. She felt sad when retirement came around having to leave her friends, students, and work, but after 23 years of Interpreting for the Brazoria County Deaf Co-op at Clute ISD, she retired and moved with her husband, Kirk, in October, 2013 to McKinney TX, to be close to her Son, Daughter-in-Law and two beautiful Granddaughters. It was here that she began a new phase in her life dedicating her time to Church and Family, and continuing to help others. She was loved by everyone that met her because of her exuberance and joy of life, and caring for others.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kirk Davis of McKinney, TX, whom she married August 9, 1969; her son Kyle Davis, his wife Amanda and their two children Abigail Ruth and Nora Grace of Allen, TX; and many family members in the St. Louis, MO area, southern Illinois, and Mississippi. Kristi was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial donation in Kris's name to Cure Alzheimer's Fund (https://curealz.org/) would be appreciated.
