IN LOVING MEMORY

Kimberly Ann Huggins

May 23 1968 - Aug 08 2018

Kimberly Ann (White) Huggins of Wolfe City, Texas passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 8, 2018 at the age of 50. After a valiant fight with stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma beginning in 2014, Jesus has called her home. She was born on May 23, 1968 to Silas Mclain and Barbara (Jones) White in McKinney, Texas.  Kim married the love of her life, Heath Huggins on June 14, 2014 in Wolfe City, Texas. She was an extremely successful businesswoman and was so intently admired for having the courage and discipline to build Liberty Sand and Gravel from nothing with the help of dedicated employees. A few years ago, Kim sold Liberty because the battle was becoming more difficult to deal with; however, she still worked for the company as an estimator. After her journey with Liberty, together, she and Heath owned and built Big Daddy’s Truck and Trailer Parts and Repair. In addition to this, she had another job selling electricity. Just about everyone knew her as “Boss Lady.” She was a member of First Baptist Church in Trenton, Texas. Kim loved her church family and fought hard to make it to church every week to spend time growing her faith, even when she felt her worst. Now, she is rejoicing as that faith is now in sight and our sweet Kim has no more pain.

Although she was a business owner, the titles she embraced and wore most proudly were Mom and KK. She loved her children: Roy, Billy, Dalton, and Colton, and grandchildren: Lucas and Chandler more than they will ever be able to comprehend. They loved her so intently right back. Kim loved to spend her summers on the beach, and her evenings sitting on the back porch, listening to music (especially Elton John) and watching the sun go down with Heath. She also loved to travel. Mexico, Las Vegas, and New York were some of her very favorites. While her kids were growing up, she supported them through several activities including baseball and racing. Kim never missed a game or a race, just like she never missed an opportunity to be with family and friends. One thing is for sure, if Kim received an invite to a family party or gathering, she was going to find a way to make it there despite her disease or anything else she had going on.

Kim’s family was her love and joy. It was truly amazing to witness how proud she was of each of her children and grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than to have a house full of family and friends swimming, playing games, eating, and just spending time together. Thanksgiving was her favorite; she used Ma Jones’ recipes that made it even more special. Even when the disease tried to slow her down, Kim stayed up till 2 or 3 in the morning every year making sure her pies and famous broccoli and cheese casserole were perfect for everyone coming the next day; just one more reason that she was so admired. Kim will be remembered as a selfless wife, mother, daughter, sister, and KK who always had a smile, even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength. Kim never complained and was always worried about everyone else, making darn sure they were happy and had everything they needed. She possessed a true servant’s heart that will be remembered and treasured forever.

Kim is survived by her loving husband of 4 years, Heath Huggins of Wolfe City, Texas; sons, Billy Pilkinton and wife, Kellie of Bonham, Texas, Roy Harpole, Jr. and wife, Abbey of Van Alstyne, Texas, Dalton Huggins of Hawaii, Colton Huggins of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Lucas Harpole and Chandler Harpole; father, Silas White and step-mother, Cathy; mother, Barbara White and step-father, Dennis Dixon; sisters, Jennifer White and husband Robert Riegle of Blue Ridge, Jamie Fletcher and husband, Danny of Murphy; brother, Nicholas White and wife, Kelly of Murphy, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shelton and Dorothy Jones, and Tom and Lucille White.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kim's church was very dear to her heart.  Memorial donations may be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Trenton, P.O. Box 157, Trenton, Texas 75490.  A donation box for cash or checks will be available at the funeral home the day of the service.
