Kim Boyd of Anna, Texas passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born on June 1, 1944, to Vu Van Binh and Dam Thi Thao in Vietnam. Kim married James T. Boyd, Jr. in December 1973, in Dallas, Texas. Together they raised two sons in Carrollton, Texas, Casey and Lee. Kim especially loved her four beautiful grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Kim was a faithful employee and enjoyed her position at Walmart for 10+ years; she had a community of friends at the Walmart in McKinney, and loving neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially by her family.
Kim is survived by her two sons, Casey Boyd and wife, Emily of Prosper, Texas, and Lee Boyd and wife, Jessica of Gillette, Wyoming; four grandchildren, McKenley Grace Boyd, Parker Pearl Boyd, and Lucy James Boyd of Prosper, Texas, and Andrew James Boyd and his wife Aleesha, and her soon to be great-grandson Augustus John Boyd of Gillette, Wyoming; niece, Noung Luu and husband, Daniel of Plano, Texas, and their children, Christina Luu and Michael Luu. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Vernon Pugh, Jr., Boyd Pugh, Ashley Pugh Wallace, Max Everett, Laura Basso, Stephanie Shanklin, and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tricia Everett and Stan Everett.
Kim was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Gayle Pugh and brother-in-law Vernon Pugh, Sr., her parents, and her loving husband James T. Boyd, Jr.
A funeral service will be held for Kim at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
