Bro. K. I. John

Bro. K. I. John (Podiyachan) of Plano, Texas passed away on July 26, 2021 at the age of 80. He was born into the Pakalomattom-Thazhamon Kidanginathu family on October 5, 1940 to Ittyerah and Rachel Koruthu in Ranny, Kerala, India. Bro. John married Annamma John on January 12, 1967. After completing his education, he pursued work in North India then migrated to US in 1980.

Bro. John is known for his kindness to gospel work and education. He was a perpetual donor for several ministries in India. He sponsored many under privileged children’s education throughout his career. He is also known for his elaborate vegetable garden, which he shared with many families and friends. He used the fruits of his labor to entertain his friends, build relationships and to encourage ministry work. He was a hardworking father, friend and a fellow believer. 

Bro. John is survived by his sons, Reji John and wife, Christy John and Biji John and wife, Shiji John and his four grandchildren, Nathan, Nikilas, Nisha and Lukas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annamma John; brother, Rev. K. I. Koruthu and sister, Thankamma Easo.

Bro. John will be remembered for his hard work, servitude, and kindness. He will be greatly missed but assured to see him again as it is promised in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Memorial and Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 and 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Calvary Pentecostal Church. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the funeral service. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories and expressions of sympathy on Bro. Due to the new Covid surge, family encourages everyone to take precautionary majors to reduce the risk. Family and church encourage guests to use the viewing time to pay respect while leaving space for family members.
