Kevork “George” Harutiun Nazarian of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 28, 2020 at the age of 69 after a long battle with LBD commonly known as Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on February 20, 1951 to Harutiun and Mary (Kadaian) Nazarian in Aleppo, Syria. Kevork married Lucia Jalkian on August 5, 1978 at Soorp Khatch Armenian Apostolic Church in Bethesda, Maryland. He is of the Christian Armenian Apostolic faith. He pursued a bachelor’s degree of arts at the University of Maryland.
Kevork owned and ran his own automotive repair facility in Silver Spring, Maryland along with his wife for over 30 years. He was very well recognized for his abilities in anything related to cars.
Kevork enjoyed many activities such as attending classic car swap meets, auto shows, gardening, and outdoor activities. He was an avid soccer player who in high school was All American and a Sports Ambassador. Kevork was a great mentor in his community. He was a compassionate, honest, and selfless man that always made everyone feel included and welcomed around him.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lucia Nazarian of McKinney, Texas; son, Harry Nazarian and wife, Marina of New Market, Maryland; son, Diran Nazarian of McKinney, Texas; mother, Mary Nazarian of Silver Spring, Maryland; brother, Nubar Nazarian of Silver Spring, Maryland; sister, Elizabeth Sihelnik and husband, Dr. Stephen Sihelnik of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania and numerous other loving family and friends in Maryland, California, and various other states.
Kevork was preceded in death by father, Harutiun Nazarian and his brother, Khatchig Nazarian.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2020 Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
