Kevin Christian, a man who touched the hearts of all who knew him, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 66.
He was born on February 17, 1960, in Winters, Texas, to Robert and Charlene Christian. Kevin’s life was defined by his deep commitment to family, strong work ethic, appreciation for life, and close relationship with God.
A proud Texan, Kevin received his welding certificate from Texas State Technical Institute (TSTI) in Waco. He began his career with Bechtel Corporation and later joined Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. This opportunity led him to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he and his wife, Marta, built a life together and raised their children, Krista and Kyle. During their 38 years in Mississippi, they created countless cherished memories and formed lifelong friendships.
Kevin dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, Mississippi. He worked in engineering, moved into mechanical maintenance, and worked his way up to outage manager, ultimately serving as production manager at the time of his retirement. After retiring, he continued his work as a project manager, contributing to special projects at River Bend Station and Waterford in Louisiana, and ANO in Arkansas. His final project was the complete modernization of the control systems at ANO. With his extensive knowledge and passion for the nuclear industry, Kevin devoted an additional 10 years to the field he loved. Later in life, he reconnected with his lifelong passion for motorcycles, which brought him great joy.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Charlene Christian.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Marta Christian; his daughter, Krista (Jake) Records; and his son, Kyle Christian. He was a proud and devoted “GDad/GranDad” to Lawrence Records and to Rosie and Beckam Christian. He is also survived by his brother, Kris Christian (Anita), of Montgomery, Texas; nephew, Chad Christian (Ashley) of Houston, Texas, and their children, Jacqueline and Luke Christian; his brother-in-law, Mike Mitchell (Celene) of Dallas, Texas; niece, Morgan Ethier (Matt) of Dallas, Texas, and her daughter, Josephine; his brother-in-law, Cary Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; and niece, Heather Mitchell.
Kevin treasured every day with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He found joy in capturing life as it happened, believing the best pictures were the ones taken without anyone knowing. His positivity in the face of any challenge was remarkable, and his strong work ethic and personal drive were evident in everything he did.
Kevin will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, and for his strength, kindness, and compassion. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was truly one of a kind; a blessing from God whose impact will never be forgotten.
In honor of Kevin, his family will continue his signature word, “CHEERS,” as a tribute to his life and the joy he brought to others.
