Kern Yi Smith, age 50, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on April 13, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on June 14, 1973, to Ing Thean Yi in Cambodia. On May 22, 1993, Kern married Sheldon Keith Smith in South Bend, Washington.

Kern is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Sheldon Smith of Little Elm, Texas; her son, Kevin Tai-San Smith and his wife, Tiffany of South Fort Worth, Texas; her daughter, Katelyn Marie Yok-Heong Smith of Snoqualmie, Washington; her father, Ing Thean Yi of South Bend, Washington;  her sister, Chin Williams and her husband, Ron of Little Elm, Texas; three brothers, Hoeung Yi of South Bend, Washington, Chhen Yee of Aberdeen , Washington, Ken Yi of South Bend, Washington.
