Kent Farr, age 55, of Anna, Texas, passed away January 2, 2017. Kent was born October 7, 1961, in Olney, Texas, to Virgil Ray and Hilda (Wolff) Farr. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Kent was employed with Collin County Community College for twenty-six years and retired as the Director of Administrative Programming. He was a member of Grace Fellowship of McKinney.
He is survived by his parents, Virgil and Hilda Farr of Anna, Texas; brother, Brett Farr and wife, Patty of Lewisville, Texas; niece and nephews, Kendra Vreeland and husband, Adam of Houston, Texas, Heath Farr of Dallas, Texas, and Jake Farr and wife, Emily of Austin, Texas; aunt, Gertrude Miller and husband, Lon of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Grace Fellowship of McKinney, 124 Carlisle St., 75071. Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the church.
