Kenneth Caldwell

Kenneth Wayne Caldwell, of McKinney, Texas, beloved husband and father, passed away on March 27, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born on May 2, 1941 to Robert and Thelma (Zenter) Caldwell in Dayton, Oregon. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in active duty and the Reserves from 1963 to 1969. Following his active duty service, he graduated from Oregon State University in 1968 with a degree in Physics. He went on to have a long and successful career with Rockwell International/Boeing as a Logistics Field Engineer working on Trident class nuclear submarines. He retired from Boeing in 2003 after 34 years of dedicated service.

Ken married Shirley Banke in McMinnville, Oregon in 1964. During their 56 years of marriage, they were blessed to live in numerous locations throughout the US and overseas, most notably Charleston, South Carolina. They moved to Texas in 2005, where they have been active members of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Ken is survived by his wife Shirley Caldwell of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Julie Caldwell of McKinney, Texas; son, Michael Caldwell of Jupiter, Florida and his wife Tracy; sister, Carol Clark of Amity, Oregon and her husband Chris, and brother, Larry Caldwell of Myrtle Creek, Oregon and his wife Susan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma.

Visitation and Services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney, Texas on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Visitation begins at 10:30 AM, with a Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at 1:00 PM in the Field of Honor of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home/Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

The 11:00 AM Service will be livestreamed from the Our Savior Lutheran Church website (Our Savior Lutheran Church) for those unable to attend. 

The family requests that Memorial Donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
