Kenneth Rene DeMott of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 13, 2019 at the age of 74. He was born on February 16, 1945 to Kenneth Elmer and Nola Mary (Newton) DeMott in Patuxent River, Maryland. Kenneth went to Arlington High School and later attended North Texas State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts. He then obtained his Master’s Degree from Amber University. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1971 until 1973 during the Vietnam era, earning the rank of Captain. He spent most of his career as a supply chain manager. Kenneth married Mary Carol Blum on January 25, 2008 in Collin County. He spent the last six years as Manager of Wild 4 Wigs Design Studio in Addison, Texas, retiring in July 2017.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of eleven years, Mary Carol DeMott of McKinney, Texas; son, Michael DeMott and wife, Sunny of Richardson, Texas; daughter, Darby Carver and husband, Aaron of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Megan DeMott, Zachary DeMott, twins, Conlee and Colette Carver and Samuel Carver; brothers, Janson DeMott and wife, Lou Ellen of Burleson, Texas and Jacques DeMott and wife, Julie of Arlington, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Nola DeMott; his previous wife, Judy Ann DeMott; and triplet granddaughters, Elizabeth Marie, Emerson Renee and Arden Landry.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A rosary service is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be held at 9:15 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
