Kenny had a difficult beginning with a birth injury November 10, 1957, but his sixty-five years of life has been blessed and he has been a blessing to our family.
We mourn the passing of our beloved Kenny but rejoice that he can sing with the angels in Heaven. Kenny loved music, especially church and country. Church music at First Baptist Blue Ridge every Sunday. Singings at White Rock Baptist Church on various Saturday nights. For many years, his favorite place to travel on weekends was Wylie, TX, going to the Wylie Opry - the Gospel show on Fridays and Country music on Saturdays. He had many friends at First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, and at the Wylie Opry, then at the Lexington Medical Lodge in Farmersville. You could hear him hum to the music in all settings. Though he hummed low, his voice carried. His favorite radio station was 92.1 The Possum. He also hummed along with radio songs he liked.
To know Kenny was to love him. When he became a resident at the Lexington Medical Lodge, many residents grew to love and appreciate Kenny. He lived there for seven months. He spent little time in his room but was outside sitting in his wheelchair on Hall 4 watching everything, reporting problems, and protecting other residents. In a Resident's Council Meeting, he was named Hall 4 Ambassador.
Kenny came from a large family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Worth, grandparents John and Bobbie Wilson of Blue Ridge, TX and Hershal (Doc) and Audie Mae Smith of Wylie, TX. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Worth, Blue Ridge, TX, brother, Andy Worth and wife Janet, Blue Ridge, TX, sister, Becky Worth Manley and husband Tony, Rowlett, TX. He is also survived by numerous loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Kenny will be sorely missed, but we celebrate - for we know where he is and Who he met face-to-face last Saturday evening and will live with Him forever and ever.
