Kenneth “Ken” Gerard Krebaum, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 76.

Ken was born on April 5, 1950, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Mary Barbara Zakre and Gerard E. Krebaum. He married the love of his life, Janice Krebaum, on February 27, 1975, and together they built a life grounded in love, dedication, and mutual respect.

Ken was a highly accomplished and intelligent man who pursued his passion for engineering through his education and career. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and went on to receive his master’s degree in engineering from Arizona State University. He dedicated over 40 years of his professional life to Texas Instruments and Raytheon, where he made lasting contributions before retiring.

Outside of his career, Ken had a deep passion for aviation. He was a proud member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and found great joy in building and flying his own airplanes. This hobby reflected his curiosity, precision, and love for innovation.

Ken will be remembered as a kind, intelligent, and selfless man. He was gracious in spirit, caring to all who knew him, and embodied kindness in every aspect of his life. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Ken is survived by his wife, Janice Krebaum; his sister, Barbara Krebaum; his brother, Rick Krebaum and his wife, Gail; and his nieces, Leslie Lusebrink and Sara Krebaum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Barbara Zakre and Gerard E. Krebaum.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A reception will follow the service from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in honor of Ken.
