Kenneth Dean Avenson, age 72, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He was born February 5, 1950, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Ardis Marie (Hurst) and Dean Frederick Avenson. Kenneth had a successful career as a mechanic. He married Raejean Ann Vaughn in Waterloo, Iowa, on September 21, 1968, and they were blessed with three daughters. Kenneth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Angela Hurwich and her husband, David, of Frisco, Julie Fuller and her husband, Travis, of Little Elm, and Laura Avenson of Frisco; his grandchildren, Aven Hurwich of Frisco, Liliana Gonzales of Little Elm, Talia Gonzales of Little Elm, Xander Robles of Little Elm, Talon Robles of Little Elm, and Logan Blair of Frisco; his siblings, Rebecca Hicok of Marion, Iowa, and Bonita Wollin and her husband, Curt, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Raejean Avenson, his parents, Ardis and Dean Avenson, his sister, Mary Jo Avenson, and his brother-in-law, Ronald Hicok.
A memorial service will be held at Button United Methodist Church, 101 W. Eldorado Pkwy., Little Elm, Texas, on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Melissa Hatch. Inurnment follows at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas.
