Kenneth Bond

April 15, 1936 - August 19, 2017

Kenneth Bond, age 81, of Westminster, Texas, passed away August 19, 2017.  Kenneth was born April 15, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Harry and Mattie Lou (Boston) Bond.  He married Martha Grace Gothard on September 24, 1974, in McKinney.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen Montano-Deleon and husband, Hipolito “Polo” Deleon, Marilyn Nichols and husband, Robert of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cherilyn Gatten and husband, Terry of Princeton, Texas, and Jana Cox and husband, Michael of Baltimore, Maryland; son, Randy Busby and wife, Vickie of Blue Ridge, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Clements and husband Jack of Memphis, Tennessee and Doretha Sides and husband, Bill of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi; and numerous other loving family member and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Martha Bond, daughter, Marla Ned, two brothers, and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Karen and kids- sending my love for your loss and I'm praying for you to find comfort as the days pass and during this time of grief- I know the pain and suffering from death of a loved one, however, I can not relate to losing a father- or a parent. You have been my sister for 30 years-and u will be forever family-throughout eternity. I love you ! He helped mother and daddy so much over the years with daddy's back surgeries and mother's cancer. He will be missed. I don't know if he told you that I had talked to him a few months ago.
