Kendall "Kenny" Ray Brightman Jr., age 51, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born on January 18, 1969, in Oneonta, New York, to Nancy Jeanne (Hawkins) and Kendall Ray Brightman.
Kenny grew up in Milford, NY until he was 12 years old when he moved to Texas. As a child Kenny loved to play baseball and ride his bike with his brother from sun up to sun down. Kenny worked as an automotive mechanic for more than 30 years and will forever be remembered as the man who would help anyone and could fix anything. He was very dedicated to his work and was often the first to arrive and the last to leave.
In his spare time, Kenny could be found in the solitude of his deer blind hunting, then sharing fresh jerky and delicious venison chili with all his friends, family and neighbors each year. Kenny enjoyed watching NASCAR and has an extensive collection of model cars. Kenny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Kenny is survived by his beloved daughters, Alex Brightman of Little Elm, Texas, and Tamra Hartman of Marietta, Oklahoma; his precious granddaughter, Athena Brightman of Little Elm, Texas; his mother, Nancy Brightman of The Colony, Texas; his brother, Shawn Brightman, and his wife, Erika, of Plano, Texas; his niece, Alyssa Gregg, and her husband, Cody; and grand-niece, Brynlee Gregg, of Eastland, Texas.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Kendall R. Brightman Sr.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas.
