Mr. Ken Tao Whu, age 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 17, 2017. Mr. Whu was born October 21, 1949, in China, to Whu Uy Sang and Whu A Che. He married Quyen Tu Phung on October 20, 1979, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Whu was a very loving father. He was a very simple, humble, and non-argumentative person. Mr. Whu loved his family dearly, especially his wife, children, brother, and sister.
He is survived by his wife, Quyen Tu Phung of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Jeanny Whu-Liva and husband, Jeremy, of McKinney; son, Davis Whu, also of McKinney; brother, Yuan Ken Whu of Taiwan; sister, Yauli Whu, also of Taiwan; mother-in-law, Chi Phung of McKinney; and numerous cousins, second cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, February 24, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.
