He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Kay Wright; daughter Maggie McDonald, son-in-law Justin McDonald and granddaughter Ivy Drew McDonald; son Andrew Wright and future wife Courtney Smith; daughter, Makenzie Standlee; and stepson, Cutter Johnson.

Keith is preceded in death by his father, James Callie Wright and brother, David Todd Wright.

A life-long Texan, Keith was born on October 27, 1965, in Tyler, Texas. He graduated from Spring Westfield High School and then went on to graduate from Baylor University. He made his career in financial services and insurance, where he most recently owned and operated Agent and Advisor Consulting. Keith was an active member of Cottonwood Creek Church (formerly First Baptist Fairview) since 1995 and was passionate about growing in wisdom and teaching classes where he helped others do the same.

Keith loved landscaping and would spend hours working in his yard (along with his kids’ yards). He was a Baylor Bears fan through and through but didn’t discriminate when it came to college football – he enjoyed many a Saturday watching game after game. He was a history buff and a lifelong learner, a grill-master, and an avid reader. He loved getting to be a “Pops”.

He was exceedingly generous with his time and resources. From drilling water wells in Rwanda, teaching classes in Belize, or serving missionaries in Guatemala, Keith always looked for opportunities to serve and connect with others. He was a friend to so many and a thoughtful caretaker who noticed needs and filled them without asking.

In Keith we grieve a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, ‘pops’, cousin, leader, and friend. But as he would surely remind us, “we do not grieve without hope”.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, 10 a.m. at the Cottonwood Creek Church 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas 75013
