Keith Scovell, a loving husband, cherished father, and adored grandfather, passed away on May 23rd, 2023, at the age of 68. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity.
Born on October 2, 1954, Keith was the beloved son of Frederick and Cecelia. Keith leaves behind his siblings Chris, Fred, and Cecelia. Although he was preceded in death by his brother Terrance, Keith's memories with his loved ones remained a source of comfort throughout his life.
Keith leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Sheryl. They met as transplants in Dallas, Texas and together have built a great family and community in their new city. Some of their best memories are raising their two boys and going to the neighborhood park to play sports.
Keith's proudest role in life was that of a father. He had the privilege of raising two wonderful children, Jeff (married to Brooke) and Jason (married to Stephanie). Keith's dedication to his children was unwavering and he always made sacrifices to give them the best life. He had many fond memories with his boys, including coaching them across multiple sports.
Keith recently became a grandfather of two wonderful girls, Hannah and Chloe. He treasured getting to know Hannah and learning the great news of Chloe’s healthy birth. He always kept photos of the granddaughters near him as they always put a smile on his face.
Throughout his professional career in technology consulting, Keith showcased exceptional talent and dedication, earning numerous accolades and awards. He worked in multiple industries including retail, consumer product goods, oil and gas, and AI.
Keith faced the challenges of battling MDS (myelodysplastic syndromes) with remarkable courage and unwavering determination. His strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew him. Even in the face of adversity, Keith never lost his infectious spirit, always cracking jokes and pushing himself to do physical therapy.
In honor of Keith's memory, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Leukemia Foundation and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. These organizations were close to Keith's heart, and supporting their valuable work would be a meaningful tribute to his life. You can find a link to both organizations below.
Keith’s memorial service will be Friday May 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in McKinney Texas. A private burial will follow.
