Kathy Staples Boobar

Kathy Staples Boobar of Plano, Texas was taken from her loved ones on Monday, June 20th at 49 years of age. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 18, 1967.

Kathy was joined in death by her twin sister and best friend, Karen Lynette Bigham. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Adeline Rogers and grandfather, Mike Rogers of Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Tim Boobar; and daughter, Carly Boobar, both of Plano, Texas; her mother, Beverly McCormack of Mount Pleasant, Texas; her father, Harold Staples and wife Patty Staples of Russellville, Kentucky; her sister, LaOuida Lane Anderson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring sister. She was the President of Fiduciary Financial Services in Dallas, Texas, where she was employed for the past 26 years since graduating from college. Kathy received a finance degree from The University of Texas at Austin in December 1989. In addition to working full-time, she was passionate about her volunteer work with the Junior League of Collin County, the Plano Chapter of National Charity League, and the Legacy Chapter of Women’s Auxiliary for Children’s Medical Center, not to mention the countless hours volunteering at her church, Parkway Hills Baptist Church, and Carly’s school, Prestonwood Christian Academy. With her remaining time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter, sisters and mother.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano, Texas. A private family interment will follow in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, June 24, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Parkway Hills Baptist Church, 2700 Dallas Pkwy, Plano Texas.

The family requests that donations be directed in Kathy’s name to Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas or Women’s Auxiliary for Children’s Medical Center Plano, Legacy Chapter.
