Kathryn “Kathy” Elise Stroman, age 68, of McKinney, Texas went home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 27, 2022.
Kathy was born on February 25, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas. Due to her father’s occupation, her family lived in many locations around the U.S. the first fourteen years of her life. In 1968, they returned to San Antonio where their extended family lived. Kathy attended eighth grade at St. Gregory’s Catholic School and graduated from Churchill High School in 1972. Her favorite passion was being on the school’s first high kick team with her sister, Debbie.
Prior to retirement, Kathy was a hard-working paralegal who finished at the top of her certification class and always received compliments from the attorneys for whom she worked.
Kathy had a loving marriage of 31 years to her husband, Wayne Stroman, who absolutely adored her.
Kathy had a servant’s heart for those in her community and abroad. She participated in many charitable organizations and was actively supporting a community center through Refuge of Hope Peru, and the ministry of Ndoto in Kenya. Closer to home, she volunteered with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for children). She was also a trained Stephen Minister who walked beside ladies going through difficult times in their lives.
Kathy was a sweet, beautiful, kind, caring, and considerate lady who was adored by all her many friends. As a loving, faithful, and Godly woman who shared her love for Jesus in multiple ways. She was faithful in daily prayer and reading devotions, loved being with her quilting friends’ group most Sunday afternoons, and their annual trip to Broken Bow. Kathy treasured her friendships with the Llama Mamas and the Careciple group at her church. One of Kathy’s greatest joys was spending time with her precious granddaughter, Harper. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling and being with family. Kathy loved time at the beach in Florida with Wayne and family as well as their cruise to the Mediterranean. Other travel included church mission trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Kenya.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Wayne Stroman; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Lauren Hinds (granddaughter, Harper Hinds); mother, Alleen Jordan; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Don Mason; stepdaughter, Stacey Stroman (grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brinley); stepson, Keven and Carly Stroman. She also had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren who she cared for deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Jordan, and sister, Laura Ann Evans.
