Kathleen T. Karlowicz

May 22, 1953 - March 18, 2018

Kathleen T. (Kane) Karlowicz passed away on March 18, 2018 at the age of 64. She was born on May 22, 1953 to Dr. William M. Kane and Ruth (Maier) Kane. Kathleen married Bob Karlowicz on December 28, 1974 in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. She received her nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Kathleen enjoyed a career as a pre-school teacher for Sunshine Kids Pre-School at Stonebridge United Methodist Church. Everyone loved “Ms. Kathy”.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Bob Karlowicz; sons, Brian Karlowicz and his wife, Rebecca of Atlanta, Georgia and Kevin Karlowicz of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Kimberly Zielinski and her husband, Tim of McKinney, Texas, Katie Lydon and her husband, Eddie of McKinney, Texas, and Megan Karlowicz also of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Marin and Emery Karlowicz, Jake, Luke, and Lea Zielinski, Maura, Molly, and Maggie Lydon. Her grandchildren will never forget their “KK”.

Kathleen is also survived by her mother, Ruth Kane; sisters, Mollie Klotz and her husband, Dave of Mickleton, New Jersey and Eileen Carey and her husband, Bobby of West Chester, Pennsylvania; brother, Michael Kane and his wife, Kathy of Wenonah, New Jersey; and numerous other loving family and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, Dr. William M. Kane.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at;

 

St Gabriel Catholic Church,

110 St. Gabriel Way,

McKinney, Texas 75071.

 

The family will receive family and friends from 8:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
