Kathleen Teresa Kripaitis of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 13, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born on February 21, 1948 to Salvatore and Susan (Kukal) Ciarlo in Brooklyn, New York. Kathie married Frank Kripaitis on February 22, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York.
Kathie was an avid sewer and attended fashion design school in NYC. She then brought the love of sewing into needlework and quilting later in life. She held many jobs, often multiple ones at a time to make sure her loved ones were provided for. By far her favorite was at Job Corps in McKinney where she could meet and share her love with young folks who needed it most.
She met the man of her dreams on a subway in NYC in 1969 and married him months later. After 53 years of marriage, they still left each other love notes daily and held hands when walking in public. She raised her children with a fierce love and motherly devotion that she missed herself as a child, and never let them doubt a day that they were anything but perfect in her eyes. Her life was her family and a strange obsession with Hallmark movies. She also had a wicked sense of humor and laughed often and loudly. She touched many lives with her openness and giving nature and did not have an enemy in this world. She left us too soon but left with nothing else to say because it was already said.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Becky Kripaitis of McKinney, Texas; son, Justin Kripaitis of McKinney, Texas; sister, Eileen Ciarlo of San Angelo, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents. Her beloved father will be the first to greet her in heaven after years of being missed by her.
