IN LOVING MEMORY

Kathleen Ann McCarthy

Feb 17 1964 - Jun 16 2026

Matthew 25:23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’

Kathleen Ann McCarthy, age 62, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on February 17, 1964, to Ann (Spencer) and James George in Manhattan, New York. On June 11, 1989, Kathleen married James Michael McCarthy in Pearl River, New York. During their 37 years of marriage, she collected friends and memories in New York, Maryland, Indiana, California and Texas. California was her longtime home for 24 years and where she raised her four children.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, James; her children, Emily, Daniel, Matthew and James Jr.; her sisters, Donna Kastner and husband, Bob, Jennifer Gregory and her husband, Jim; her brother, Mark George and his wife, Michelle. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Louie. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and James George.

After a successful career in direct response marketing, Katie left her position as Executive Vice President to follow God’s call and homeschool her four children. During this time, she applied her marketing expertise to advance the missions of several non-profit and political organizations, including Orange County’s Interfaith Shelter Network, various pro-life and pro-family ministries, an orphanage in Haiti, and youth advocacy in public education.

Above all Katie was a crusader for Christ. Her example and words have inspired many to enter or come back to the Catholic faith. Her legacy of faith, family, and fierce advocacy for truth will continue to inspire many.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 PM.
