Kathleen “Kathe” Jean (Anderson) Romig, a resident of Frisco, Texas, passed from this world on May 29, 2024, at the age of 73. Kathe was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 27, 1950, to her loving parents Karl and Gyda (Ness) Anderson. Kathe graduated from Hamilton High School in 1968.
Kathe met the love of her life, Jim, and they married in Milwaukee on July 17, 1971. Together, they lived a rich and fulfilling life, raising their children Jason, Kristen, and Jonathan. Kathe found happiness in every day, and often could be seen singing or dancing. Gardening brought her so much joy, connecting her with nature as she added beauty to the world around her. A proud Norwegian, Kathe loved paying homage to her ancestry through a collection of quotes and art.
Saturday night dinners with friends eating Mexican food always brought a smile to her face. Kathe was a dedicated mom to her children as well as those she “adopted”- a fierce protector with a loving heart. Kathe had an extended family of dear friends from throughout her life in Wisconsin, Kansas, Georgia, Texas, and beyond. In addition to caring for her family, Kathe worked in special education, childcare, and estate sale management.
Kathe is survived by her beloved husband, Jim, of Frisco, Texas; children, Jason Romig and wife Amy, of Parker, Colorado, Kristen Johnson and husband Mike of McKinney, Texas, and Jonathan Romig and wife Toni, of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Avery Romig and Scott Romig; sisters, Kerry Anderson, and Kristine Anderson, both of Caledonia, Wisconsin; many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends, who will miss her so dearly; and her grand-dogs, Sophie, Sawyer, Bailey, Shelby, Roscoe and Frank.
Kathe was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Gyda Anderson; and brothers, David, Mark, and Paul.
Kathe’s precious pups Odin and Raider most certainly met her at the gates of heaven to welcome her home.
