Katherine “Tootsy” Dunn Chaddick, age 87, of Allen, passed away February 1, 2008. Katherine was born February 18, 1920 to Thomas Franklin and Nellie Elizabeth (Malone) Dunn. She resided in Plano for the majority of her life. She married Earl James Chaddick on June 14, 1938 in Dallas. Katherine retired in 1987 from Texas Instruments. While her children were attending Plano ISD, she was involved in numerous school organizations. She was also active in many civic organizations in Allen and Plano. She is survived by daughters, Laurel Dowd and husband Richard of Melissa, Valda Wilkinson and husband, Paul of Allen, Kathy Smith of Whitewright; sons, James and wife, Pat of Alba, Randall Chaddick of Allen, David Chaddick and wife, Cheryl of Mesquite; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Dunn and wife, Mary of Bonham; sister, Patsy Hardin and husband, Louis of Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, daughter, Lee Nell Christian Radford in 1996, grandson, Travis Lynn Chaddick in 1978, her parents, three sisters and nine brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Monday, February 4, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen with Pastor Toby Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Mercy Hospice of Lewisville, Roundpin Ministries or a charity of your choice.
