Karren Lynn Davidson

Karren Lynn Davidson, age 61 of Valley View, Texas, passed away December 21, 2013 in McKinney, Texas. She was born Karren Lynn Burress on March 23, 1952 in Dallas, Texas, to Louis Allen Burress III and Charlyn Joyce Schmalzried Burress. She graduated from Plano Senior High School, during which time she was part of the founding members of the Collin County 4H Horse Club. She later became an accomplished showman in the Quarter Horse Industry as she showed and hauled halter horses nation-wide for idols within the Quarter Horse Industry. She continued her passion for animals through teaching and supporting her two daughters in their FFA livestock showing endeavors across the state of Texas. Karren had a powerful personality, witty sense of humor, and a love for well-balanced meals. She was known by many of her friends as Country Cadillac and on hot summer days she could be found fishing at Lake Ray Roberts.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Don Ray “WT” Davidson, of Valley View, Texas; daughters, Kristy and husband Doug Tillman of Forestburg, Texas, Kassie LaDon Davidson, of Lubbock, Texas; brother, Larry and wife Linda Burress of Plano, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Karren was preceded in death by her mother and father.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
