Karen Lee of Melissa, Texas passed away on October 8, 2021 at the age of 61. She was born on June 7, 1960 to Lyle Murray Wilson and Luella May (Kloppenburg) Wilson in Topeka, Kansas. Karen married Bret Lee on July 26, 1980 in Dallas, Texas. She worked for Raytheon as an inventory manager and retired in 2015 to care for her first grandchild. Karen was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas for 20 years, since 2001.
Karen is survived by her husband, Bret Lee of Melissa, Texas; children, Matt Lee, Elise Lee and Chelsea Lee, all of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Isabelle Lee, Emilia Lee; Delores Mize and husband, Mike of Gainesville, Texas, Cindy Warren and husband, Phil of Howe, Texas, Donna Jackson of Austin, Texas, Ted Wilson, Frank Wilson of Blue Ridge, Texas, Lisa Olsen and husband, Steve of Huntsville, Alabama; brother-in-law, James Wilbanks of Princeton, Texas; a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katy Hope Lee; brother, Mike Wilson; sisters, Linda Wilbanks and Susie Bowles; nephews, Andrew Wilbanks and James Wilson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Waddill Street Baptist Church, 1401 North Waddill Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Waddill Street Baptist Church, 1401 North Waddill Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
