Karen Louise Couldron

Karen Louise Couldron, 67, of Austin, Texas passed away February 24, 2015 in McKinney, Texas with family by her side. She was born January 24, 1948 in Manhattan, New York, to Gorman and Audrey (Frechem) Couldron.

She is survived by her only son, Michael Lieberman and wife Avaan of Frisco, Texas; mother, Audrey Couldron of St. Augustine, Florida; sister, Christine Quick of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida and grandsons, Zachary and Ethan Lieberman.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Gorman Couldron and brother, Woodmark “Woody” Couldron.

Karen’s early years were spent in New York and New Jersey where she enjoyed city life, the sea shore and making lots of friends which was easy given her outgoing personality.  Following this Karen and her son Michael along with Karen’s parent’s Gorman and Audrey, moved to Texas where she lived for the remainder of her life. 

In Texas she worked as an entrepreneur dabbling in a few professions, she had a prosperous catering business ranging from gourmet dinners to food trucks. After that she ran a car service business and boasted about driving celebrities and famous Austinites to and from the airport. Karen did all this while raising her son Michael as a single parent.  They had a special bond that he will cherish forever.

Karen was a wonderful daughter, a loving mother and kind grandmother, and a compassionate friend who will be missed by all. .  

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
