Karen Blanche Morrow of Fairview, Texas passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born on July 4, 1945 to George William and Blanche (Seyboth) Richards in Baden, Pennsylvania. Karen attended Ambridge High School from 1959-1963. She went on to attend Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, graduating in 1965. Karen married Terry R. Morrow on February 22, 1969 in Baden, Pennsylvania. She worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of capacities in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, where she was an OBGYN nurse until her retirement in 2000. Karen was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney, Texas from 2007 until present and regularly led the Grief Share group. Karen loved reading books, especially Mysteries. She was also an avid gardener and could name nearly every flower and plant. Karen had a passion and talent for scrapbooking, creating amazing memories and keepsake albums for her children and grandchildren. And most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Tinsman and husband, Tim of Allen, Texas; son, Jeffrey Morrow and wife, Lauren of Haymarket, Virginia and daughter Jill Wallace and husband, Carl of Gainesville, Virginia; grandchildren Ella, Grace, Lily and Claire Morrow of Haymarket, Virginia; Alexander and Sophia Tinsman of Allen, Texas, and Finley Wallace of Gainesville, Virginia; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Reed Morrow and her parents George and Blanche Richards.
A Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home with the Funeral Service being held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2708 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75071.
