Kaden David Case, 16, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 19, 2010, in Dallas, Texas, to his loving parents, Christopher David Case and Jill (Whitfield) Case.
Kaden grew up in Wylie and attended Wylie High School, where he built lasting friendships and made memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He had a deep love for baseball and played for many teams over the years, beginning with t-ball at age five and continuing through select baseball before ultimately making his way onto the Wylie High School team. Baseball was more than a sport to Kaden — it was part of who he was. Whether he was in the backyard throwing whiffle balls with friends, heading to the batting cages, or spending hours at the baseball field working on his pitching, he was happiest with a ball in his hand. His dream was to become a varsity starting pitcher and, one day, make it to the MLB.
Music was another one of Kaden’s greatest passions, one he shared closely with his mother. He loved listening to music, playing guitar, and teaching himself new songs. He had even begun writing music of his own and was always working to improve his playing. He especially loved Zach Bryan and could often be heard loudly singing his songs in the shower for hours at a time — something his family will forever remember with smiles and laughter.
Kaden also loved the outdoors and cherished time spent with his dad and grandfather hunting, fishing, exploring, and sitting around campfires with family and friends. He had a fascination with weather and storms and could often be found watching the skies with excitement and wonder. He especially loved sunsets and tracking thunderstorms, and if baseball had not been in his future, he dreamed of becoming a storm chaser.
Though his time here was far too short, Kaden will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kind heart, beautiful smile, and the passion and excitement he brought to everything he loved. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and all who loved him dearly.
Kaden is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Jill Case, and his brother, Dylan Case, all of Wylie, Texas; grandparents, David and Fran Case of Wylie, Texas; grandmother, Peggy Whitfield of White Oak, Texas; and his beloved dogs, Lucy and Cruz, who were always close companions to him. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, countless friends, classmates, and teammates who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Kaden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Whitfield.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Harvest City Church, 2201 Country Club Road, Wylie, Texas 75098.
To honor Kaden's memory, a Carrollton Fire Fighter Association Benevolent Fund has been established. Venmo donations can be made to the CFFA Benevolent fund (info below). You may add “Friends of Family of the Case Family” or something similar, if prompted. These contributions would be completely anonymous, and all donations would go to the Case family for anything they may need at this point.
