Bush, Jutta

Jutta R. Bush

April 3, 1940 - August 15, 2019

Jutta R. Bush of Plano, Texas passed away on August 15, 2019 at the age of 79.  She was born on April 3, 1940 to Günter and Lisbeth Hedtke in Braunschweig, Germany.  Jutta married Carl R. Bush, Jr. on March 29, 1963 in Germany.  She worked for NATO as a court translator and also worked as the secretary for the Air Force Base Commander in Germany. After moving to Plano in 1969, Jutta worked for the Plano Chamber of Commerce, and later as a secretary for Duncan Strawn Development. In 1970, Jutta was the co-founder of the International Women’s Club of Plano. During the 1980's and 1990's, she was the Business Manager for Southfork Ranch when the television show, Dallas was filmed. After her Southfork days she built a booming special events business that created joyful weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and corporate events, even performing a cattle auction in the Addison Intercontinental Hotel. A dedicated worker with limitless energy, Jutta continued to transform her career and worked with dedication into her last days as an independent accountant for many small businesses in North Texas.

Jutta had a deeply compassionate heart and was always ready to offer a helping hand to both humans and animals alike. As someone who experienced the hardships of war as a child, she could not bear to see others suffer without, and often made personal sacrifices to help others advance in their careers and life. Much of her pleasure in life came from keeping a beautiful home with a perfectly manicured garden, and entertaining her longtime friends on special occasions with over-the-top tea parties.

Jutta will be deeply missed by her daughter, Gabriela B. Bush of Grapevine, Texas;  her sister, Renate Koch of Kassel Germany; and her stepbrother, Heiner Diehl of Goettingen, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Günter and Lisbeth Hedtke; and her husband, Carl R. Bush, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

As a former neighbor of Jutta's I would like to say she was the best of the best. I didn't know of all he things she did, but I did know about the latter days. I know she adored her Kenny, white standard poodle. Her yard one of the prettiest in the neighborhood. Everything was done to perfection. Yet she had a great sense of humor and we would laugh at so much. The world has lost a wonderful human being. Heaven has gained one.

I will miss the sweet elegance of Jutta. She was a real lady. My mother loved her very much too. I am happy they are in the same cemetery. Take care Gabby.
Cathy Putman, August 21, 2019 You will missed my friend. Matthew Jackson, August 21, 2019 You were a beautiful neighbor, and will be missed walking your sweet dog, and out watering your beautiful yard. Jutta I will see you again and you will be cancer free. Jodi Farris Jodii, August 19, 2019 Jutta R. Bush was a beautiful German woman who loved America. While she was expert in cooking up delicious German meals from scratch, she had a penchant for big American Cadillacs as her vehicles of choice. She was an ardent supporter of both countries and proudly flew the U.S. flag on national holidays. She was a capitalist and entrepreneur and a leader of international business women in small-town Plano, Texas before most people had even heard of it. She was a gracious hostess, a charming entertainer, and quite gregarious at family get-togethers. She kept her home meticulously clean and always in the right fashion. She adored her standard poodles and they loved her back even more. She was a caring and devoted mother to Gaby, and they were always there to help and support each other, joined together in a very special bond between mother and daughter. Jutta is respected and honored by so many of us who will miss her quick wit, joyful smile, and everlasting beauty. We are all blessed to have had Jutta R. Bush in our lives.

Gaby and I grew up together out in Murphy. I was also able to be around Jutta for her last few days. She still could make me laugh. She was so beautiful and loved to make her home and everything around her beautiful. She raised a wonderful daughter and I'm blessed to have them in my life. She was a wonderful lady.

As the first few days since her passing I have learned it is nearly impossible to name my love for her, nor my awe for how she lived her life and what she accomplished with it. So since I can't quite name the grief nor the wonder, nor the sadness that she is no longer here, what I will do is tell you a little about Jutta, who was my friend. Jutta was private, humble, fierce, intuitive and brilliant! She was a tremendous businesswomen and was my dearest friend. She was the most glamorous person I had ever met and I watched every move she made and listened to every word she said, because I wanted to be just like her....but she was a natural, one of a kind. I couldn't be like her, but she taught me lessons I will take with me for the rest of my life and I will be forever grateful for her love and friendship. Jutta has had a female cardinal visit her window every morning for the past few months. Some people say when a cardinal appears, angels are near. I believe that must be true as she has been blessed with so many wonderful friends and neighbors who have loved and cared about her. Jutta lived a life, well lived and I am proud to say she was my friend. My love always to Jutta and Gaby, Jan
