IN LOVING MEMORY

Jutta R. Bush

Apr 03 1940 - Aug 15 2019

Jutta R. Bush of Plano, Texas passed away on August 15, 2019 at the age of 79.  She was born on April 3, 1940 to Günter and Lisbeth Hedtke in Braunschweig, Germany.  Jutta married Carl R. Bush, Jr. on March 29, 1963 in Germany.  She worked for NATO as a court translator and also worked as the secretary for the Air Force Base Commander in Germany. After moving to Plano in 1969, Jutta worked for the Plano Chamber of Commerce, and later as a secretary for Duncan Strawn Development. In 1970, Jutta was the co-founder of the International Women’s Club of Plano. During the 1980's and 1990's, she was the Business Manager for Southfork Ranch when the television show, Dallas was filmed. After her Southfork days she built a booming special events business that created joyful weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and corporate events, even performing a cattle auction in the Addison Intercontinental Hotel. A dedicated worker with limitless energy, Jutta continued to transform her career and worked with dedication into her last days as an independent accountant for many small businesses in North Texas.

Jutta had a deeply compassionate heart and was always ready to offer a helping hand to both humans and animals alike. As someone who experienced the hardships of war as a child, she could not bear to see others suffer without, and often made personal sacrifices to help others advance in their careers and life. Much of her pleasure in life came from keeping a beautiful home with a perfectly manicured garden, and entertaining her longtime friends on special occasions with over-the-top tea parties.

Jutta will be deeply missed by her daughter, Gabriela B. Bush of Grapevine, Texas;  her sister, Renate Koch of Kassel Germany; and her stepbrother, Heiner Diehl of Goettingen, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Günter and Lisbeth Hedtke; and her husband, Carl R. Bush, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
