June Barrett Pratt died Wednesday, March 2, at her senior home in Mesquite, Texas. June was born July 8, 1922 in Niagara Falls, New York to Harry Livingstone and Persis Virginia Barrett (Nicholls.) June spent a life of service, first as Head Nurse at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, then as a Nurse at Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
When not working as a Nurse, June spent her life traveling the world, playing tennis, golfing, and skiing. She was fiercely independent and lived life to the fullest, always on her terms. In retirement, June went back to college and received her Journalism degree, as she had a great passion for writing. She enjoyed tutoring English to several local students. She also enjoyed reading and spent over ten years as a proud member of The Bookends Book Club in Coppell, TX.
June is survived by her Grandson, Gordon Jerome Pratt and his wife, Robyn, of Van, TX; her Granddaughter, Terra Lynn Salas of Dayton, TX; her great grandchildren, Andrew Pratt and his wife, Sasha, of Mooresville, NC, Alexander Pratt and his wife, Kaitlyn, of Bonham, TX, Jordan Pratt of Chesapeake, VA, Ethan Salas of Corinth, TX, Maximo Salas of Dayton, TX; her great-great-grandchildren, Nolan and Kinley Pratt of Mooresville, NC.
Her family is eternally grateful for the loving care she received the last several months of her life by Natalie Milas and her staff.
