IN LOVING MEMORY

June S. Hahn

Sep 28 1933 - Dec 03 2020

June Sarah Hahn, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas. June was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Floyd and Emma Mayberry on September 28, 1933.

During her teenage years she came to know Christ. In high school she worked at a local dairy farm and as a switchboard operator. June graduated in 1952 from Marshall High School in Enid where she was crowned Football Homecoming Queen. She met and married David E. Hahn while he was stationed at Vance Air Force Base at Bible Baptist Church. They were married on January 25, 1953, in Enid.

When David later entered the Baptist ministry, she became a dedicated pastor's wife. They served churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and Arizona. Over the years June was blessed to travel to various countries and on mission trips to Jamaica.

June had a full life in which she enjoyed being a wife, mom and grandmother; teaching Sunday School, playing the piano and organ, and other assorted church activities. She liked to sew and do crafts; grew cactuses, loved the colors red and black, and rode horseback in her younger years.

June most recently resided at Parkview Senior Living in Frisco, TX and Briarview Assisted Living in Carrollton, TX and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Fate, TX.  She is survived by her children, Ruth Hoover and husband Ronald, Joanna Bowles; 4 grandchildren; Heidi Hoover, Alex Bowles and wife Lauren, Hayley Hoover, Paije Stevens and husband Hunter; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hardin Stevens and Penny Barnts, two nephews, one niece and other loved ones.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David E. Hahn; her parents, her only sibling Buford (Buddy), and nephew Jim Mayberry.

June will rest alongside her husband David in Marble Hill, Missouri. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a memorial service. Contributions in her honor may be made to Tom and Cathy Talley, Baptist International Missions, www.bimi.org.
