Jun Wang was born in 1971 in Baoding, Hebei Province in China. From a young age, he was a hardworking, determined, and intelligent individual. Jun loved athletics and enjoyed all kinds of sports. He was an outstanding soccer athlete; his soccer team even achieved the title of being the college champion. Jun was a highly motivated person, and this character trait of his especially showed through academically. He loved to learn new things, explore his interests to the deepest possible ability, and he was also eager to share his knowledge with others. Because of his joy for learning, Jun was eventually admitted to Tianjin University. He received his bachelor’s degree and finished his studies at Tianjin University ranking number one in his class. Jun met his wife, Wenqian, at graduate school and continued to pursue the higher education in America at Lehigh University, where he earned his Ph. D degree. Soon after, Jun started his career as a R&D engineer and achieved his position as Vice President of Engineering. As a dedicated researcher and manager, his vision and foresight were well respected. Jun was not only an avid learner, but he was also an inventor and accumulated over 10 patents in his lifetime.
Aside from his focus on his extremely successful career, Jun also loved his family. The birth of his daughter, Grace, brought him an abundance of happiness. In his free time, Jun enjoyed helping Grace with her own academics, practicing volleyball with her, as well as planning and going on family vacations. Most importantly, he had a strong faith in Jesus. His faith gave him courage and bravery to fight his illness for a very long time and his passion for sharing his story has been an inspiration to every person he encountered. Jun is in Heaven now and he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and friend.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening June 26, 2021 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
