Julio Armijo, age 63, of Allen, Texas, passed away May 28, 2011, in McKinney, Texas. Julio was born December 21, 1947, in Edingburg, Texas, to Ignacio and Julia Armijo. He married Virginia Cantu on April 19. Julio was employed with numerous community colleges and was also employed with Kroger for eleven years. He enjoyed working at the flea markets with his wife, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Armijo of Allen, Texas; sons, Carlos Armijo and wife, Nellie of Carrollton, Texas, Osvaldo Arroyo and wife, Carolyn of Howe, Texas, and David Arroyo and wife, Cookie of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Veronica Gonzales of Princeton, Texas, Christina Morales and husband, Juan of Culleoka, Texas, and Mel Villarreal and husband, Red of Allen, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Armijo of The Colony, Texas; sisters, Lola Ponse of McKinney, Texas, Isabel Auila of Plano, Texas, Lupe Gomez of Garland, Texas, Jovita Jimenez, and Marcin Armijo; and numerous other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Vivian Lopez, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
