Funeral services for Julia Edna Moon Bishop, 92 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday November 20th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Rev. Denny Gorena and Brother Victor Bishop will officiate. Burial will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park at Allen. Family visitation will be Friday November 19th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Bishop was born January 5, 1918 at Ben Franklin, Texas. Her parents were Moses Alexander and Maggie Mae Listman Moon. She married Lawrence Ray Bishop October 24, 1937 at Enloe, Texas. She was a high school graduate, a homemaker and a member of the Waddill Street Baptist Church at McKinney. She passed away November 17th at the Red River Regional Hospital at Bonham. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Joe Rex & Vickie Bishop of Allen, Ted & Nora Bishop of Melissa and Damon & Alicia Bishop of Henderson; her daughter: Sandra Gilbert of Leonard; her sister: Tommie Jo Herndon of North Richland Hills; her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Gary Lynn Bishop and her son-in-law: Bobby Gilbert. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
