Judy Marie (Moss) Deaton of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born on January 17, 1942 to James Stewart Moss and Willie Fern (Bishop) Moss in Calera, Oklahoma. After high school Judy moved to Dallas and worked for Western Electric where she met the love of her life, Jerry Ray Deaton, and they married on November 22, 1962 in Calera, Oklahoma
Judy was the number one fan of her 3 children and 6 grandchildren’s sporting events. You always knew she was in the stands or on the sidelines, if not by her full head of white hair and big smile, by her loud cheers.
She lived in Frisco, Texas in the same house for the past 23 years. She was well known by all her neighbors for the TLC she gave her award winning yard. You can’t mention her neighbors without including her infamous garage sales, where the highlight of each event was connecting with her visitors and sharing stories about each item they purchased. It’s was easy to tell that her favorite time of the year was Christmas by her elaborate decorations and her contagious excitement when giving any and all the full festive tour. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to make those around her smile.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry Ray Deaton of Frisco, Texas; children, Judy Deaton Moses and husband, Sam of Dallas, Texas, Ray Deaton and wife, Jennifer of The Colony, Texas and Jaquita Deaton Farrow and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Jessica Robertson, Dane Robertson, Jake Deaton and wife, Haley, Amaris Deaton, Cami Deaton, and Parker Ray Jackson; siblings, Eula Hamilton, James Moss and wife, Diane, Lawerence Moss, Elizabeth "Prissy" Buchanan, and Donna Bullard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, James and Fern Moss and daughter-in-law, Angela Cade Deaton.
