Judy Mae Hutchison, age 78, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on May 29, 2018 in Denton, Texas. She was born on June 26, 1939 in San Diego, California to Genevieve Elizabeth (O’Rourke) and Delmar Allen Mathews. On December 13, 1974, Judy married Carl Bruce Hutchison in Dallas, Texas.
Judy is survived by her husband, Carl Hutchison; son, Michael Hutchison and his wife Tammy; two grandchildren, Brad Hutchison and his wife, Rachel, Michele Carswell and her husband, Josh; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Bryce, Karissa, Amy, and Jefferson. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: BJ, Mark, Barbara, Dorothy, David, Stephanie, Donald, Fred Jr., Nancy, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Ann Rushwood; her two brothers, Delmar Jr. and Fred Mathews; and her parents, Genevieve and Delmar Mathews.
Judy was one of the first flight attendants for Braniff Airlines. She later worked for Otis Engineering/Halliburton Corporation, where she stayed for more than 35 years before retiring.
Judy loved her family and friends. She was passionate about her hobbies, such as estate sales and flea marketing. She was full of life and fought admirably against health issues in her later years.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033 on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 3990 W. University Drive, Prosper, Texas 75078, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM with Reverend Richard Kirkham presiding. Interment will follow at Little Elm Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
