Judi Villani, age 72, of Savannah, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 15, 1946, in Port Chester, New York. Judi grew up in Mamaroneck, a town in Westchester County, New York. She graduated from Rye Neck High School where she loved to twirl the baton and made many life long friends. Judi met the love of her life and husband of 41 years, Al Villani, while working at the Bell telephone companies. Judi was all about family, and cherished her time at family gatherings. She never met a friend that she didn’t welcome with open arms and treat as part of the family. Judi was a loving mother of three, but was a mom to many more. She was a cherished Mamaw to seven grandchildren that she truly adored. Judi had a strong Italian heritage, and many can still taste her incredible pasta sauce. She loved yorkies, and never missed a Dallas Cowboys game. Judi will be missed for her great laugh, wit, and caring generosity. She is now reunited in heaven with her life long companion, best friend and beloved husband, Al. Judi will be forever cherished by those who knew her and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her sweet yorkie Lexi; sons, Tom Villani and wife Vicki of Prosper, Texas and Steve Villani and wife Laurie of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Jamie Sockwell and husband Sam of Van Alstyne, Texas; mother-in-law, Beatrice Villani of San Antonio, Texas; cousin, Carolyn Sullivan of Savannah, Texas; grandchildren, Brayden Villani, Cameron Villani, Ashton Sockwell, T.J. Villani, Andrew Villani, Sam Sockwell and Sara Villani; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judi was preceded in death by her husband, Al Villani and parents, Charles and Laura Lanza.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Pastor Mark Fletcher officiating.
