Judith Anderson Merritt of Frisco, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2023.  She was born on May 7, 1940, to Clarence L. and Audrey L. Anderson in Moline, Illinois.  She served in the Air Force from September 1958 until April 1960 where she met her future husband, Lloyd.  On August 14, 1959, she married Lloyd R. Merritt in Dallas, Texas, and after 60 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on December 24, 2019.

Judy was all about family and friends.  Through the years, she invested much of her time with children, including providing in-home daycare, as a leader for girl scouts and boy scouts, and teaching Sunday School in her church.  She leaves behind many close relatives and friends. She was a member of the Family of God and she is waiting for us there.

She is survived by daughter, Sheryl Burns of Frisco, Texas; and son, Steven Merritt of Old Fort, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Stephanie Burns, Derek Burns, Carrington Cone, Chandler Cone, Tyler Burns and Marlee Merritt; and five great-grandchildren, Ava Foster, Olivia and George Burns, Harrison and Carter Cone; brother, Ronald Anderson; and sister, Deborah Deaver.

Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home will be arranging a private interment at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, Texas, on March 31, 2023.
