IN LOVING MEMORY

Judith Enid Eskew

Jul 25 1940 - Feb 28 2018

Judith Enid Eskew, age 77, of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 28, 2018.

Judy was born and raised by her mother, Geraldine, and her grandparents, Minnie and Earl, in Boonville, a small, southern Indiana town. Her father, James, a marine, was killed in WWII at Iwo Jima in 1945.

Judy and her husband, Gene, also from Boonville, started dating and then married while the two attended Indiana University. Gene joined the Air Force after getting his Master’s Degree, thus sending the two around the country, and then the world while Gene served in Vietnam.

After leaving the Air Force, Judy and Gene found a love for Texas, eventually settling in Dallas. Although Gene’s career would move them out of Texas, even out to Los Angeles, CA near their son Jeffrey, they considered Dallas their home, eventually moving back to Dallas for good.

After Gene died in 2005, Judy continued to live with her son James in Garland where they both were active with the Special Olympics. Judy and Jim moved to Frisco to live with her daughter, Jennifer, in 2015 due to Judy’s declining health the past couple of years.

Judy died peacefully on February 28th. She is survived by her mother, Geraldine; her children, son Jeffrey and his wife Cynthia, daughter Jennifer and her husband David, and son James; and grandchildren Georgia, Lauren, and Willa.

Judy will be laid to rest alongside her husband Gene at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. A memorial service will be held on April 7th, 2018 at 12:30pm at the Unity of Dallas church, located at 6525 Forest Ln, Dallas, TX 75230.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society.
