Mrs. Judith Bowker, age 63, of Plano, Texas passed away February 2, 2004, in Dallas, Texas. She was born October 16, 1940, in Ashtabula, Ohio. On June 30, 1969, she married Robert Bowker in Rochester, New York. She earned a Bachelors degree in English from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, where she was a Phi Beta Kappa, and a Masters degree in Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She was a lifetime member of MENSA. She was also a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Plano. She is survived by her husband, Robert Bowker of Plano; son, Matthew Hamilton Bowker of College Park, Maryland; daughter, Sarah Judith Outland and husband, Nicholas of Irving, Texas; and brother, David Hanhilammi of New York, New York. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2004, at the Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Road in Plano. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service, at the church for visitation.
